I had a general 6 days ago for surgery on my wrist..on the 3rd night after.... i started crying for what i do not know...the same on the following day day 4...i have been very tired nodding off a lot and feeling a bit blue...so before i go charging and bothering my Doctor I wondered if you could advise me  if this was part of the aftermath...i was so wound up before the op terrified would be a better word...
Thankyou
Anne

Answer
Hi Anne
It is quite possible that this is just the after effects of a combination of the stress and worry leading up to the procedure and then the effects of the drugs you were given for the anaesthetic. It is important that you drink plenty of fluid, exercise (even just walking around town) each day and eat a good diet. You will soon bounce back. I would only go and see your GP if it doesn't settle after a couple of weeks.
Kind regards
