Question
I'm a junior this year and i've been looking to be an anesthesiologist. I've been looking online at the college that it requires and i was reading and came across something that worried me. It said something like after you take your MCAT it's not a for sure thing that your going to get accepted into the medical school...if you don't get accepted does that mean you can't become an anesthesiologist and you wasted four years of college? Or is there still a chance?

Answer
You can't become a anesthesiologist until you become a doctor and that needs medical school. So if you don't get into medical school, you can't become an anesthesiologist. The MCATs is just one of the requirements for medical school. You haven't wasted college because there are still many things you can do (even in the medical field). Also you can always reapply to medical school and perhaps you would get in the second (or third) time.
