Anesthesiology/Blood Patch

Question
Good Evening,
I have had several epidermal procedures performed for pain management. The last time, there was a tear and another doctor had to perform a blood patch. I had severe headaches for 5 weeks and nothing seemed to work for pain not even 80 mg of morphine or a toradol shot. Now, it's been a week since the blood patch was performed and I am still getting severe headaches when I stand up from the lying down position or the sitting position. I am very worried. I am drinking about 3 liters of water a day as the doctor prescribed, but only drink about 2 cups of coffee daily. Is there anything I can do? Should I call the doctor back and tell him or is it too soon?

Answer
Hi there
I am sorry to hear about your ordeal.
I would contact them so they can consider if they need to repeat the blood patch - which can be done. Ther is nothing else that I can recommend to you as you are doing everything else that can be done to help.
I hope they can get this sorted for you.
