Yesterday I had a egd / colonoscopy done . All went well but today I have been kind of short of breath and my heart rate has been in the low to mid 50's .. Is this normal ?

Not knowing what your normal values are, it would be hard to tell. The heart rate soesn't bother me as much as the shortness of breath. If it is persistant and uncomfortable, you should see your physician. If not and you have no other symptoms (and it is not getting worse), then I wouldn't worry about it.
