Question
I AM HAVING CATARACT SURGERY ON WEDNESDAY. I HAVE BAD ANXIETY AND I TAKE KLONOPIN .5 MORNING,.5AFTERNOON,.5 NIGHTTIME. I WAS TOLD TO TAKE MY MEDICINE THE MORNING OF THE SURGERY LIKE ALWAYS. THEY ARE GOING TO GIVE ME PROPOFOL AND DEADING MY EYE. I AM SO SCARE  TO TAKE THE KLONOPIN BECAUSE OF A REACTION. I ALSO TAKE AMBIEN 10MG AT NIGHT.I TAKE 5 WHEN I GO TO BED, AND 5 WHEN I WAKE UP ABOUT 3'O CLOCK. DOES THIS SEEM RIGHT TO YOU.

Answer
There is not a problem with it. For your surgery they will give you Propofol to put you to sleep fo 5 minutes while they give you a local anesthetic block to your eye. After that, you will wake up and be awake for the surgery but will not feel any pain.
