Question
Two months ago I had anesthesia for shoulder reconstruction. I seem to be quite shaky but my main worry is that I can't always get my words out and stutter. Is this a side effect from the anesthetic. I am not taking any other medication.

Answer
It is NOT a side effect of anesthesia but it certainly is something you should have checked out. Not knowing your age or other health history, I would worry about perhaps having had a minor stroke (for example). You should see your primary care physician for a full evaluation.
