Anesthesiology/Anaesthesia induced stuttering

Question
I am aged 71. I have found that when I have an operation with full anaesthesia post operatively I develop a stutter. I never stutter normally. It appears that it is dependent upon the length,or,and the depth of the anaesthesia. I am also extremely tired for at least two weeks after the procedure. The stutter and tiredness gradually fade over a matter of weeks.is this a known phenomenon please?

Answer
Hi there
We know that a high percentage  of people over the age of 60 will suffer 'cognitive dysfuntion' following anaesthesia and surgery. This means they have some problem with thinking and doing things like crosswords and the severity varies between individuals - some are very seriously affected. So my answer has to be yes, though developing a stutter is not a common manifestation of this.
Kind regards
