Anesthesiology/vtiamin supplements prior to surgery

Question
I'm having cosmetic surgery which will last 6 hrs. My surgeon wants me off all vitamins and mineral and herbal supplements for 2 weeks before and after surgery. I have restless leg syndrome and mild arthritis in my joints and I think I'll go crazy without calcium/magnesium supplements for that period of time. I have a sensitivity to dairy products so i can't get calcium that way. Is there known reactions between calcium/magnesium and anesthetics?

Answer
I am not aware of any reactions between calcium/magnesium and any anesthetic agents. I can understand stopping herbals because some of them affect the clotting system, etc but not the Calcium/Magnesium.
