CT scan
CT scan
Dear Dr Russell.
Could you please tell me on the CT image i have attached is there a defect hole in the sacrum, it has a red circle around it ?
Could this hole in sacrum cause me nerve problems in this area?
Thank you

This is really not mr area of expertise. A spine surgeon would be far more likely to be able to provide relevant and accurate information.
I would say in my. Non expert opinion this would be a highly probable cause of nerve problems but I could not exclude this defect with 100% certainty as a cause.
I do know that radiological findings don't correlate very well with actual symptoms. Some people have a normal MRI despite having symptoms while others have an abnormal MRI even though they aren't experiencing symptoms.
Dr Russell
