Anesthesiology/Anesthesia question

Question
Hi:

My name is Roberto and I'm 29 years old. Back in 2001 I went into nose deviated septum surgery.

I went into general anesthesia.

At present, after 3 years ago I still fill around my nose like if I still had anesthesia (like numbness)

I would like to know what the cause could be and what can I do to get rid of this anesthesia feeling.

Thanks and your help is greatly appreciated.

Roberto

Answer
Hi Roberto

I assume from your story that you are feeling that you cannot feel sensation around your nose. I'm sure this will be due to the surgery you had and nothing to do with your anaesthetic.

You need to chat about this with your ENT specialist (ie the chap who looked after your nose surgery).

Sorry I can't help any further than this, but do not accept any suggestion that this was due to your anaesthetic. Many problems can occur after a anaesthesia but this would be a bit far fetched.
