Anything you want. If you are interested in medicine, science and math courses will be helpful.

   Is there a question here??

what major in college?

Anything you want (but you must take all the premed requirements).

what is residency?

That is where you go after medical school to specialize in your specialty.

You start making money in residency (after college and medical school). You make around $35K but that is variable.

will i have time to spend with my family?

Not too much. You can work up to 80 hours per week.

Around how much will the 4yrs. of college, 4yrs. of medical school, and 4yrs. of residency cost?

It could cost upwards of $100K!
