Anesthesiology/Epidural

Question
I had a baby by c-section in April. Within the past few week I wake up with upper/mid back pain. Could this be related to the Epidural?  It's fine after I get up and start moving around but it wakes me up and I just can't get comfortable. Should I be concerned about this?

Answer
It is not likely due to the epidural (it is too far out from the procedure and epidurals are placed in the lower back). But you should definetely have it checked out. You might have a herniated disk (although rare at that level). It is certainly woth looking into.
