Question
I had my 3rd c-section this past June and for the past three weeks I have been experiencing a numbing and itchy sensation at the site where the anesthesia was adminstered into my back.  Could that be a form of nerve damage?

Answer
Hi Heather
This is very unlikely - it is a long time lag since your procedure and any nerve damage would be giving you symptoms in your legs, thighs or buttocks and not in your back. Given the symptoms I would watch out just in case you are getting shingles - but again I suspect this is not the case - so please don't worry about it.
The bottom line is I can't really give you a reason for the sensation but I'm sure it will settle down.
Kind regards
