Question
I was told that an anesthesiologist is above the other doctors besides surgeons. I don't know how true that is, but I was wondering if you could tell me the ranking of an anesthesiologists. Please and Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi there
In the UK we all share the same rank as we are all doctors. We also work as a team though some anaesthetists fell they are the leads and some surgeons feel likewise! Most of us recognise each others individual skills and work together. However the surgeon maintains continuing responsibility for the patient long after the operation.
Hope this helps
