Answer
Hi Rachel
Sorry but due to time difference between us (and work!) this is the first chance I have had to answer your question. I hope this reaches you in time.
Firstly remember that a large number of people have this procedure every week with no problems. There is no reason why you should be different.
You do not have to do anything if you have an allergic reaction. The experts who are looking after you are the ones who are trained to look out for problems and to deal with them.
The drugs will make you feel sleepy and sometimes a  bit dizzy as they take effect. Indeed some people feel a warm sensation around their heads. Most people find it relaxing and pleasant, though a small number of people do not like the feeling these drugs give you.
I am sure you will be fine but remember to tell those looking after you about your worries before they start.
All the best
