Question
HI. MY SON OF ONE MONTH AND A HALF WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MENINGOCELE AND TETHERED CORD SYNDROME. HOW SOON SHOULD THESE CONDITIONS BE CORRECTED??? WE ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE INSURANCE AND WE ARE AFRAID WE ARE WAITING TOO LONG.

Answer
Chris
I work in the UK and so we currently don't have to consider these issues. I have not worked in paediatric surgery for over 17 years and so I cannot answer your question.
You must seek opinions from experts in your country but I am certain that children have a high priority even within your system.
I apologise but I cannot offer more guidance than this.
