Question
why do vampires need to be invited into a(living)human living space (house, room ect.)?
and what happend if they try to get in, is there like a force feild around it or something

Hi Savanna,

Vampires need to be invited into a living person's home because they are sanctuaries or protected places against the vampiric soul.  It was most likely a spell that sorcerers conjured on the early vampires in the old times.

And yes, if a vampire tries to enter a home or private dwelling where he/she is not invited, then they are blocked by an invisible forcefield.  You can see this for the first time in season 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer after Angelus is reborn and Buffy has the univitation spell cast on the house.
