What does killing the members of the black thorn in reality accomplish? I know that they are responsible for all evil. But why not try to destroy the Senior Partners? Can they just recruit new members? How about the First Evil in Buffy> I thought he was responsible for all evil.

Just for fun, who do you think survived the cliffhanger battle in the series finale?

You are of course completely right - accomplished nothing except for really irritating the big people in charge, but there will always be evil as there is always good, one cannot exist without the other, so there will always be a need to fight the good fight.  (far too indepth a conversation here without wine involved!!!!)

Cliffhanger... Spike, Gunn and Fred (well, not Fred, but i can't spell the other name ;) ) - Gotta kill off Angel, and let Spike take over as the champion.
