Animal Rights/circus animal abuse
Expert: Robin Flynn - 12/2/2008
Questionhi, im writing a persuasive essay for english about circus animal abuse (im
against it) and i need a primary source. ive asked multiple ppl so im getting
kinda discouraged because not many have answered. I was wondering if you
could answer some questions. here they are:
1) What will happen to animal trainers if animals in circuses is outlawed and
how many would be affected?
2) Do you know about how many animals die deaths caused by circus abuse
each year?
3) Are there laws against this abuse? If so, what do they say and why are they
ignored?
4) Which circuses abuse animals? ( i know there are some that don't- circus
soleil etc.)
5) How is it legal for circuses such as Ringling, to lie to the public and on
their website that they treat animals well and that they are preserving the
animals? (I went on Ringling's website and it said "our animals and trainers
have a strong bond of love....we treat our animals like family" and Ringling
Bros. is one of the main offenders pointed out on animal rights groups
websites such as PETA's)
Thanks you so much for answering my questions. (it is okay that I quote you
right? - in my essay) oh, also could you tell me what your professions is so I
can be like Robin Flynn, an animal lover and four year veterinarian says..... or
whatever :)
thanks again so much.

AnswerHi Rachel,
I’m so happy to hear you are writing a paper for the animals. I Don’t usually write papers for students however I’m happy to send you links to find all the information you are looking for. But since you asked for a specific person I would like to recommend a specialist in the animals in entertainment field, specifically circuses. His name is Davis Salsbury and I told him I would be giving you his contact information. I think he would be a much better source for your paper.

If you have any more issues please feel free to write back. I’m sorry others were not helpful. I have attached some links that can help you with your paper.
