AboutRobin Flynn Expertise I can answer general questions about many animal rights topics, to include animals in entertainment, factory farming, vivesection & research, animals used for clothing, veganism, etc.
Experience I am a true animal lover. I started on my vegetarian path at the age of 12 and am now vegan today. I believe we have abused our powers over animals and it is time we make some ethical changes. I choose to fight for animals becasue it is easier than just sitting around and watching the abuse continue to happen. I am a volunteer member of several organizations to include; PETA, PCRM, Sea Shepherd, Farm Sanctuary HSUS, MARC, BADL and Grey2K

Question Hi my name Rose and I'm doing a case study on animal testing and the alternatives. This is for some science coursework at school. i need some questions answered please.
1.have testing on dogs been reduced since Horst Spielmann anticipated that 70% of dog tests could be dispensed with?
2.using cell cultures is an alternative animal testing, can you please tell me how this is done?
3.why are fish likely to feel less pain when undergoing tests?
4.how can researchers assess the pain that the animal may feel during an experiment?
i really appreciate all the help. thank you

Answer Hi Rosie,
I'm sorry for my late response to these questions, I didn't receive the email until now.
Since this is a homework question I don't want to answer them for you but I do want to help you find the correct sites to retrieve these answers. One of my favorite sites for technical science questions is the Physicians committee for responsible medicine. http://www.pcrm.org/ or http://www.pcrm.org/resch/ Please read the studies that they have published and If you dont have any luck email me back and I will try to point you in the right direction.
