Question Around the world is there alot of animal cruelty going on in zoos?
Answer Well every country has very different treatment of animals. In America and most western countries there isn't a lot direct abuse in large zoos such as beatings however zoo animals are often in conditions they would not experience in the wild often in small cramped exhibits that do not meet their instinct to roam, for example for hundreds of years elephants in zoos would be stuck in tiny groups often chained in one place by the foot while elephants in the wild wander hundreds of miles in groups of several dozen, Containing a wild animal like that against its instincts is cruel by itself though it does not leave physical marks like a beating it still causes unnecessary suffering for no other purpose then the entertainment of humans that is why most people who support animal rights do not go to or in any way support zoos and instead support and visit animal rescues and sanctuaries that allow the animals to live a more natural life.
