QUESTION: i have read that pigs and cows never see daylight until there being taken to the slaughterhouse, and that they keep them in crates or boxes so they cant develop muscles is this true?

Answer
Hi Chelsey,

Have you seen Meet your Meat?  This is actual footage of what these animals endure.  It's horrible.  Pigs are kept in gestation crates, male calves, which are of no use to the dairy industry are put in crates, veal crates to be exact.... however, so much more to know - please watch this video for a more in depth explanation of what all food animals have to live through.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIjanhKqVC4

It gives you accurate and detailed information.

Thanks,

Tina
