4. What is the most common animal that is being abused?
5. What is the animal abuse population in 2009?
6. Does animal abuse occur in other countries? if so, which countries?

I really appreciate it for your time to answer these questions for me! Please get back to me as sooon as you can.

Thank you,
        Salina.

Answer
Hi Salina,

Sorry for the delay - in answer to your questions:

1.  I am not sure people plan to abuse animals, however, I think what happens is they take animals and then can't care for them, or they become a problem -

2.  You can stop animal abuse by first, yourself, refraining from eating and using animal products.  Join groups to speak up for them.  There are hundreds of ways to help animals.

3.  The most abused animals are the factory farmed animals, in condensed farms and slaughterhouses.  Here is a video for your info:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIjanhKqVC4
10 billion animals per year have been tortured, cramped and then slaughtered.

4.  I answered this question above.

5.  I don't know how to answer this question, there is no way to tell.  Except that farm animals, like I stated, are killed in the numbers of about 10 billion per year.

6.  Of course animal abuse happens all over the world in most every country.  The numbers are insane and the practices barbaric. 2 that come to mind are the dolphin slaughter (http://www.thecovemovie.com/) and the seal slaughter on their breeding grounds:  (http://www.hsus.org/protect_seals.html).  These are only 2 - there are thousands of incidents all over the world.

Hope this helped!
