I need information on the humane treatment of animals in slaughter houses. I am doing a persuasive speech on this topic and need RELIABLE information.  Could you direct me to some websites or books that would help me in writing my paper

Absolutely!  This is my area of expertise and my first book titled "The Fast Food Craze, Wreaking Havoc on Our Bodies and Our Animals" covers some of the most significant cruelty to our animals raised for food.  That would be a great start - also, here are some websites -

Sorry about the videos they are quite disturbing, but completely accurate - I've visited factory farms and a slaughterhouse.  These films do not do justice as they cannot explain the lung burning urine inside or the feces smells, or the smell of death at a slaughterhouse, however, these are as accurate as it gets.

Thanks for doing such a fantastic subject!  More people must know about this serious moral crime.
