IF A TOWN DOESN'T HAVE A LEASH LAW AND DOGS GOT OUT OF THEIR FENCE LIDE SOMEONE LET THEM OUT,AND ONE PIT BULL ATTACKED A MAN BECAUSE HE WAS AFRAID OF THE DOG,AND THE AMORY HUMANE SOCIETY,GAME WARDEN,AND THE LOCAL POLICE HAD THE TWO PIT DOGS MUZZLED AND THEY SHOT THE DOGS WITH A SHOTGUN AND KILLED THEM AND THE OWNER IS IN JAIL AT THIS TIME,WHY DID THE HUMANE SOCIETY DID THIS?I CRIED FOR A LONG TIME BECAUSE I LOVE ANIMALS.SO PLEASE GET BACK IN TOUCH WITH ME.IT IS A SMALL TOWN OF AMORY,MS.THAT DID THIS.how can i get in touch with the humane society of the united states to let them know about this?

Hi Sherry,

This is terrible.  Are you sure it was the Humane Society?  If so, they generally do not handle things this way.  The Humane Society of the United States is here:  http://www.humanesociety.org - they have phone numbers listed on their site....also, I would call your local Animal Control and give them a report of the events.

I hope things work out and that the dogs get some justice.
