Question
Hello, I am a ninth grade student, and for my Biology term project I am doing a report on animal testing in medical research, dissection, and for use in personal care products. I was wondering if you had time to answer a few questions for me?
What do you do for a living? How did you get there? Do you like what you do?
What are your views on animal testing?
How did it start?
What are some pros and cons of animal testing?
How has it changed since it first started?
Is there any effective alternatives?
Thank you for your time!

Answer
Hi Aubrey,

I am not an expert in animal testing, although I think I might have to brush up on the data, because I get so many of these questions.  I focus on animals raised for food - fast food, diet, health, and factory farms and slaughterhouses - the most killed and abused animals on our planet.

Therefore, for some info on animal testing go to:

http://www.vivisection.org

That should help!

Also, about the health ramifications of eating animals or their products, i.e. heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity, and a host of other diseases linked to our diets. Any questions on existing on a plant based diet, solely, raw diet and the health benefits.
