Question
I have two puppies and we have them as inside dogs but let them outside to play and go potty, the animal control came by and said that we need to have a dog house for them outside, so we complied with their request. I let my dogs outside on a cable so when im not home they don't do there business in the house. As me and my husband returned home the dog catcher was in our yard once again and taking my dogs off the chain, he said they couldnt get to there shelter and that they didnt have any food or water, when in fact before i left there was. So my question is, is there anyway to get them for harassment and are they allowed to remove my dogs from their chains if they are not in any danger??? Please help me so me and my dogs can have some peace!!!!

I am not an expert on dogs, however from reading your post, all I can say is thank God for Animal Control.
You cannot, absolutely can not have dogs on chains or lines - it is inhumane. They can easily get hung up and hang themselves and choke to death, not to mention suffer. You cannot leave them without shelter, or food and water, even if it was there when you left, they have to have at least water, at all times.
The dogs ARE in danger if they are on chains, what are you thinking!?
Your dogs are not being treated properly. Do some research - They will probably continue to harass until you follow the laws!

| Comment | First of all you dont know me and second my dogs are not anywhere were they can hang them selves thank you and if i am only gone for an hour i think my dogs will be fine you are rude and need to think of a better way to answer a question My dogs are well taken care of they HAVE SHELTER AND FOOD AND WATER, besides if its illegal to but your dog on a coded cable then why do they sell them.
