hello, i'm doing a project for school and I want what your thoughts on animal cruelty in zoos is. Why is or isn't there animal cruelty in zoos?
Do animals belong there?
Why or wht not?

Hi Jack,

I can't really help you much as I don't know a lot about particular issues at zoos.  I also am not really a source for someone to quote in a school paper.  Apart from the fact I generally don't do homework projects for people.  The questions you ask, you need to come to a decision about yourself.

As for the principle or morality of zoos, they serve a good educational purpose for the most part.  If you're talking about the morality of people manipulating animals, this is a bigger question than just zoos.

As far as my thoughts are concerned about animal cruelty in zoos goes, I am firmly against it.  If/where it exists, I am against it.  I don't think people should be deliberately cruel to animals, wherever they are.

I can answer questions regarding animals rights from a biblical Christian worldview. If you were to try to place me in a category, you'd probably place me in the 'animal welfare' category rather than say, the 'animal rights' or the more extreme animal activist categories like PETA, ALF, etc. Please know that I am not here to get into debates with anyone, or deal with people wanting an argument.
