Question
I am exporting my flash movie file into a quicktime movie file. However, when I go to play the quicktime movie it the movie won't do anything. The image comes up in the quicktime screen but the movie won't move. The movie is a set of binoculars looking onto a map (I had to use masking in my flash file to make this happen..could that be the problem). Does it have to be action script in the movie inorder for it to work in other formats like quicktime?

Answer
Hello Heather,

Flash to Quicktime seems to have a lot of issues. I seem to get residual artifacting and trails on my animation when I do a this kind of conversion.

Until Adobe fixes the problem this is the workaround:

Export the flash movie as a series of .png files and import them into Final Cut and export your movie from there. You can bring in your soundtrack into Final Cut and it should sync up fine.

It's a roundabout way of doing things but this does work.

Hope this helps.
