Question
I'm planning to import an image sequence into After Effects to make an animation. I'd like to set the frame rate to 12 frames per second. Is that OK?

I'm new to animation and don't want to make hundreds of drawings and end up with a glitch. I'd appreciate any advice!

Answer
Hi Jim,

Since most of my work is "professional" (and I use the term loosely) I always work in 24 fps and at one of the HD or Standard 3:4 Video formats.
It's always better to do any project at 24 fps which is film standard. If you need to compress the video later convert it using QuickTime or other kind of conversion program to change it to 12fps. It's good to have a high quality master in case you need to use it elsewhere than the net.

I hope this helps.
