a friend of mine recommanded this program and i was wondering how does it compare to the other programs such as Flash 8 i am a begining animator and i would like to become a graphic desinger! if you had any tips or suggestions that would be great

Hi.. Pivot is just a free program for animating stick figures. It's interesting, but I'm not sure how much use it is besides giving you a basic understanding of animation and having a little fun in the process. Flash is much harder to learn but much more powerful. If you want to be a graphic designer, learn Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, etc... If you want to do animation, Pivot might be a good start, but I wouldn't spend too much time with it...
