Question
explain 3D and 2D animation.

Answer
3D animation refers to working with models in all 3 axis of space, X,Y,Z. Essentially you are working with objects in a computer generated space that is just like physical models in the real world. 2D animation refers to flat drawings, X,Y. Traditional hand drawn cartoons are 2D. Web based animation like Flash are 2D as well.
