Question
I saved an animated file as an html and bmp file.  when I import it into power point I lost the animation.  How do I import to power point and retain the animation.

Answer
First of all, I want to apologize for taking so long to respond.  I was out of town on business, and the hotels internet access was not working for us, to the point that I haven't been able to check email in 8 days.

Now about your question, I am somewhat puzzled as to how you are animating.  HTML is a coding language for webpages, and a bmp file is a simple raster file, and cannot contain animated sequences.  If you are coding in HTML to make the bmp move across the screen, I don't think that you can import the HTML and image and reconnect the animation inside of powerpoint.  Instead, you will need to import the image only and use the 'fly-in' animations to move it on the screen.

Now if you have some sort of animated sequence of images, perhaps a bird flapping wings or a character running, then you wouldn't want to save it as a bmp file.  You would want to save it as an animated .gif file.  I am not sure what software that you have at your disposal, but a bmp simply cannot retain animation by itself.  It only consists of one static image.

Let me know what you have, and what you are trying to do in the end result, and I will try to work out a solution for you.

Cheers,
Andre
