Animation/animating a picture sequence

Question
I imported a series of PNG pictures that make up an animation into After Effects as a "sequence" and it was arranged on the timeline, but the duration of each picture was too long.

How can I arrange a series of pictures and shorten the duration of each clip?

Answer
Hey Jim,

I just want to make sure first that you are importing a sequence properly...

In AE, if the images are named with a numbered sequence, (i.e. jim-001, jim-002, jim-003,...,jim-125), then you can simply import footage, and select the first image in the sequence, and check the "image sequence" check box on the import screen.  This will import the sequence of images all at once, and they will operate like a video clip in the bin.  I believe that it will normally import at 30 frames per second, so if you want to speed up or slow down the sequence, right-click on it in the bin and "interpret footage" to change it to the frame rate that you desire.

If this is the way that you are importing and are still having problems, let me know, and I'll figure a work around.

Cheers,
Andre
