Animation/Flash

Question
Joseph,

Thanks for taking my question.  I currently run a website and I have incorporated a flash file as part of the intro of the website.  At the end of the flash it ends in a static "intro" message to the website.  I would like to be able to change that static intro such that it is a writable file so that I can use it to post noteworthy events, special offers, etc...  Do you know if that is possible or does it require writing special code to enable?

Thanks much

Answer
Hi, it is possible to do that. You can load variables from an external text or Xml file into your Flash movie. Then all you need to do is edit the text file to update the content.  There are plenty of web examples and tutorials, just search for loading an external text file in Flash or ask one of the Flash experts on this forum.  The command is:

Load Variables ("your_file_URL.txt","");

hope this helps!
