Sir im nasir from pakisatn...
My son is doing 3D Max & MAYA so
i m going to purchase Core 2 Duo Following components are in it.
1 : Mother board DG31PR
2 : 2.66 Ghz (Core 2 Duo)
3 : Ram 2Gb DDR II

Sir Please guide me for that , what type of graphic card will support my Computer...
I choiced this one ( XFX GFORCE PCX 9500GT 1GB DDRII)but I nedd ur guidence...

Hello Nasir,

I am laughing on the inside, because even though I have access to some of the top notch design machines in the industry when I am in the office, I do a lot of my work from home, and the specs that you have listed are far beyond what I work on at home.

Those specs are great for his machine.  My graphics card only has 512mb of ram, and I am on a pentium 4 processor.  I have a laptop with a Core 2 Duo.  

I suggest that you try to max out your DDR ram.  Another suggestion is to set the machine up with dual monitors (which is not that expensive to do, aside from getting another monitor).  If the graphics card doesn't support two monitors, then you can just add another PCI graphics card.  That way he can have the program opened on one screen, and move the toolset or an online tutorial, etc. onto the other screen.  Using 2 monitors is a standard for graphic designers, and will speed up his workflow tremendously, rather than having to minimize windows to see other things.
