Question
I have used a digital still camera to make an animated movie, which looks pretty good. What is a good camera (not too expensive) to photograph animation (for a possible enlargement to a 35mm print)?

Answer
Hi Jim,

I think most cameras have high enough resolution these days.

It seems like you're making a stop motion film from the way you're working.

If each frame is at least 1,920x1,080 pixels you're working in HD which should be great for 35mm transfer. The lower the pixel count the lower the quality. Obviously. It's quite expensive to transfer video to film. Most modern theaters are set up for digital projection these days so you can still show your film on the big screen.

The following is a page that do that type of transfer.

Below is a sight for a product that a lot of stop motion studios use called a video lunch box.

Hope this helps.
