Question
How can I get to know the license owner of a certain cartoon series, and how can I make a deal with him?

I know that a single production can have multiple license owners depending on the regional zone.... how can I reach them?

Answer
Hello Ehab,

If it's an American cartoon series or character you may want to get in touch with the US Copyright Office. Sometimes the character might be a trade mark so the US Patent and Trade Mark Office might be of help.
The web links are below:

http://www.copyright.gov/

http://patft.uspto.gov/

I've called and spoken to these folks before and they are very accommodating and helpful.
Since you're 'out of town' you may want to use a Skype (VOIP) account to call them or email them for the info you're looking for.
If you need me to look up anything for you, send me the character or property you're looking at and I'll see what I can find out.

My direct email is zvbxrpl@sprintmail.com

Hope this helps.
