Question
hi,i have read that having good drawing skills helps you a lot in animation industry and my drawing skills is really very good, but there's a problem ,i am unable to make things without seeing. so i want to know if its a problem for me or there's a place in animation industry where it can help me .how and where?

Answer
Hello Tahir,

You need to be able to draw things from your imagination to do animation. You can't only just draw what you see. Try drawing things without looking at them and see how you do. Make things up like characters or landscapes from your own mind and see how you do. When I started I was only real good at drawing by looking at things and now I do fine at just making things up. You have to practice at doing this. Until your proficient at it you'll have a hard time getting a job.

There are other kinds of jobs that require the talent you have that aren't animation such as illustration. Maybe that's a better fit for your talent.

Hope this Helps.
