My cousin wanted to start an animation.what are the pre-requisites and software required for animation?
There are a bunch of software involved in digital animation. A good place to start is Photoshop and Illustrator, as these software are used in all aspects of the process. Your cousin may also want to consider whether he wants to focus on 2d or 3d animation. 2d animation software includes Motion and After Effects. 3d software includes Maya, Cinema 4d, and Softimage. In the end, the main thing is to learn the concepts behind 2d and 3d animation, not necessarily just the details of the particular software. A knowledge of traditional animation such as cel and stop motion is also helpful.
