Question
I would like to use my animated GIF files in videos, but my files do not always convert properly to a video format. Can you recommend a free or cheap video editing software that can support GIF?

Answer
Hi Aki,

First of all, you get what you pay for. Free and cheap means not very good. I cannot recommend this kind of software because it doesn't always work or rarely works properly. If you have an Apple computer the "cheap stuff" you get from Apple such as iMovie and the iLife suite is pretty good for the basics. I'm not that familiar with  brands of software for the PC.

Another solution might be to try converting your GIF files to PNG files and see if that helps import into what you are using for video editing.

Hope this helps.
