Question
Good Day Mr Calabrese
I would like to ask you whether which subject(Science, Commerce, Arts) should i choose after the 10th grade if i want 2 start an anime t.v. show or be a video game designer in the future and please tell me the whole educational degrees i should get as i feel i have the passion and the desire for the job.

Answer
Hello Parag,

You should be well rounded in all 3. Animation is the one art that encompasses all the arts; acting, writing, music, art, sculpture, dance, design, etc. It also encompasses many fields of technology and science; math, computer science, physics, etc. To be successful you need to know how to market your output of work, and that's where commerce comes in.

Animation is both a business and an art form. Being versatile in all aspects of the form will make you more valuable and help you get work in the field. There are so many aspects and jobs in the field you will eventually find the part of the field you are best at and/or like doing the most.

There are many schools around the world that have degree and non degree programs for animation and associated arts. Check online for animation schools or colleges that have animation as part of their curriculum.  You'll find many. Pick one on reputation, location and cost. You'll find one that will suit your needs or fit your financial and geographical means.

Hope this helps.
