Question
I know basic C++ what should I do to learn animation? Will knowledge in C++ help me?

Answer
Hi Akhilesh - Most animators do not know or use C++. They primarily use 2D/3D animation programs (Maya, 3D Studio, After Effects, Softimage, etc.). If you want to learn animation, the best thing is to study these programs, and also gain some knowledge of traditional animation techniques such as stop motion and cel.

Having said that, some of these programs have higher level functions that can only be accessed using various scripting languages. I am sure that someone like you with C++ knowledge would find them very easy to use.

Also, some of the movie studies create their own proprietary software and other tools for their animators, and I would not be surprised if this involves C++.
