Question
What is Luma key ? How it works ?

Answer
Luminance values of individual pixels in an image most times can range between 0 and 255, where 0 is no light and 255 is the brightest light.  If you do a luminance key, it will key out parts of the image based on how bright or dark they are (their luminance value).

It is similar to doing a key based on color (or hue), except it is taking a different set of data into consideration.
