Answer
Hey Eduard,

I can't really tell you which to get, because it is really a personal preference.  The distinction between the performance of PCs and Macs is increasingly disolving.

I personally am a hard core PC lover, because 1) You can build them and upgrade them yourself, with parts from any local store as opposed to having to order specialized apple components or upgrade parts.  and 2) Software is much easier to locate with PCs.  For instance, 3D Studio Max, which is my specialty, is not even made for Mac, and I don't believe that they have any plans to do it.  I eventually plan on incorporating a Mac or 2 in my network, for more compatability, though.

If you understand one or the other more, or are more comfortable with one, then I would stay in your comfort place.  If you are like me, and like to tinker with your hardware, etc.  then you'd go PC.

Just don't believe the hype about one platform being better for video/animation/graphics over another platform.  There used to be a day when Mac was better in graphic performance, but that day is long gone.  Actually, the truth is the Unix platforms are what the big boys are using to do their animation, but the softwares are usually custom, or well out of the price range for a small COUNTRY!!!!

Hope this info helps.

Cheers,
