Question
If I don't have the knowledge of premiere. Can i work only with  after effects and combustion for VFX?? For 3d does after effects and combustion helps for making special effects?? Du know any good books on MAYA for the beginners?

hi tashi - premiere is used primarily for video editing, although there are also some built-in effects. for more complicated VFX, many people use after effects and combustion. both programs also have some 3d, but for complicated 3d effects, you should use a dedicated 3d program like Maya. Peachpit Press publishes a good book about Maya, and I think the tutorial that comes with the software should be quite helpful too.
