Animation/adding moving bubbles to jpeg images

Question
I use Ulead MovieFactory 6.0 with Vista Home Premium on a Toshiba laptop. After returning from vacation, I put together all of my video clips and photos to make a movie. Everything is great, except - I want to add animation to some of my underwater pictures (moving bubbles) and I'm having a hard time finding a free download. First of all, is it possible to add animation to jpeg photos, and secondly, what search terms would I use to find a download or plug-in? Please help.

Thank you!

Answer
hi patricia - i'm not familiar with moviefactory. i usually create bubbles in a program called Adobe After Effects, using a plugin called Trapcode Particular. After Effects also has a built-in plugin that generates bubbles.

in After Effects, you would import your photos, then superimpose the bubble generator on top of the photos. you could then render out a sequence of .jpgs that looked like they had animating bubbles.
