Question
Hey joseph, im an artist and am trying to create a site of my own for my artwork.  im an abstract anatomical artist, some of my art and designs contains some tribal work.  My question is how can I animate one of these designs, in the way that it looks like its being drawn on the page.  I have very little understanding of animation.  I have all adobe programs and macro programs.  Hope to hear from you soon.

Answer
Hi Oscar - Your artwork sounds very interesting. It sounds to me like your best bet is to scan your artwork, then use the scan as a template to create a vector-based replica in Flash. I don't personally use Flash, but I believe you could then probably use masks or other write-on techniques to simulate the drawing of the artwork.
