Question
hi
i am doing 3d animation course(including maya, max , combution softwares} in india and i want to become an animator ,here basic qualification is high school for this, but i am graduate and i want to do part time masters degree along with this diploma so that i can be eligible for foreign countries too so i am confused what kind of master's degree i should opt? tell me if any kind of masters is eligible for my permotion and for chances in foreign countries then can i do MBA?

Answer
Hello Vish,

What kind of chances are you referring to in foreign countries?  Most people could care less about what education you have when it comes to animation, and more on what you can do.  They want to see your demo reel.  They want to see your style and ability.  I know of people that are self taught that got lead animation roles in block-buster movies...that wasn't based on paper (diploma)...that was based on their ability to show the potential employer what they were capable of doing.

I'm not saying that other degrees won't help you get somewhere.  Just know the limitations of what both degrees and skill sets can do for you.

Cheers,
Andre
