I'm 35 years old and have loved to draw mostly cartoon characters ,holiday pictures, cars but did not go to school. drawing for a living was never an option in my household growing up. you had to go to "real school". i missed out on what i think is my passion. is it too late? please be as brutally honest as you can ..i can take it lol. eric nj

Answer
Hi Eric,

It's only too late when you're dead!
With technology today you can learn a lot by just watching, reading and doing it yourself. Or you can take courses at a local college. where are you located? I'm assuming the NJ after your name is New Jersey. The Kubert School in NJ has a great animation teacher; Doug Compton.
Also the School of Visual Arts and NYU in NYC has a few excellent teachers, too.
